6Minute was a monthly music and lifestyle magazine. During the magazines run I worked on the structure and design of the publications content. These examples are from the last two issues of the magazine before it ended.

 

Lansdowne Care Services is a company that runs a series of care homes for mentally handicapped individuals. The company runs a mix of day centres and residential homes so the brand had to be universal for both sectors. Having the hands ark upwards helps express both care and shelter.

This was a simple corporate signature for a freelance accounts manager. The identity was primarily developed for a letterhead. The design is based on his initials.

For the launch of Luton LINk I was asked to provide a poster to advertise their service. The design required to be displayed in youth centres, GP's lounges etc. and would need to have a wide appeal to many ages.

 

In addition to rebranding Lansdowne Care Services I also produced a promotional brochure to be available for service users and family members to learn about the company. The brochure consists of a brochure about the company, six inserts that give details about the six centres, and a folder to contain it all and keep it together.

 

LHC Group is a parent company that runs a wide variety of different businesses. The brand was required to create a unifying identity to bring all the different businesses together. As LHC runs companies that are so varied, the identity couldn't express any specific business. I went for a brand constructed from various different shapes, symbolising the various companies that form LHC Group.

To raise public awareness of Bedford Mencap, they requested a website design. The design had to feature sections that allowed them to explain all the events and clubs they organise, as well as have a news feature that meant they could post up new information regularly.

 

Working with professional illustrator Antonia Woodward, together we designed and produced a series of fonts based on her stylized handwriting. This was mainly produced to assist her in her illustration work for publications.

 

 
Fast Forward is a news forum website designed specifically for mental health care. The site is designed to be informative to professionals but also accessible to people with learning disabilities. One way I made it accessible was by designing a character to feature throughout the site. The character helps navigate users through the website content.
